  Dolls Museum Project

Rotarians at dolls project

The project envisages collection of dolls from all countries where Rotary has a presence. Rotary clubs all over the world have been contacted to send a doll that represents their local ethnic culture. Additionally a flag representing the Rotary club has been requested. Each club has been individually contacted, and while no financial appeal is made, the club has been requested to send a doll and a flag.

1200 Dolls are collected and showcased.
This will also be an ongoing project in so far as in future more dolls would come in from other clubs. The museum will also become a local landmark - Even with a population of over 50 million, the state of Gujarat does not have a museum of this kind.

This unique project will try to bring about an understanding of the varied humanity and cultures and will serve as a permanent reminder of how important it is to know, understand and respect other cultures. Finally, Rotary's ideals of international humanity and brotherhood come alive in this project and shall seek to serve as a reminder to the world on how Rotary makes a difference.
